Embracing Self-Discovery and Authenticity in February

dragonflyblueinfo

Hello Beautiful Soul,

It's been a couple of months since I shared my thoughts with you. I always find December and January to be challenging months. The holiday season, while festive, often reminds me of the distance between my family members. It's not an emotional distance but a physical one, a consequence of divorces and the addition of stepfamilies that make life a bit messy.

As a child, Christmas used to be a grand family event, but as life unfolded, it became a juggling act to divide time among various family units. February is the month when I start feeling alive again. The festive season can take a toll, and by February, I emerge from my slump, renewed with dreams and aspirations. It's a time for self-reflection, a moment to evaluate what aligns with my life and where I want to be.

Letting go is not always easy, especially when it comes to people in our lives. Divorcing from toxic relationships, even if only temporarily, can be challenging, but sometimes it's necessary for personal growth. Reflecting on the relationships in my life, I often find that letting go is essential for my well-being.

Recently, a friend reached out to me in a difficult situation. A family member is at the end of life, and there's pressure from siblings to make amends and say final goodbyes. My advice was simple – do what feels right for YOU!

It's crucial to prioritize your feelings over external expectations. If saying goodbye doesn't bring peace to your heart, then it's okay not to do it.

We often spend our lives living for others, but what about what we want?

Taking that quiet time to reflect is essential. In today's blog, I want to remind you to do what feels right for you. Reflect on your dreams, your passions, and ask yourself:

What will make your heart sing?
